Studio SF is a design office specializing in reimagining residential interiors and navigating the design and construction processes, in partnership with our clients, to completely realize the vast potential of customizing every space to perform at peak functionality and a personal aesthetic that complements and enhanced by the unique occupants.
Founded in 2016 from 15 previous years of Steven Fehler's professional experience in the residential and retail markets of New York City and beyond. This wide-ranging experience brings confidence to navigate the most intricate of interior renovations. Steven graduated from Wits University in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 2002 with a B.Arch (Prof), working on a wide variety of projects for the following 2 years in South Africa.
Relocating to New York City in 2004, Steven worked for 6 years under the guidance of Stephan Jaklitsch at SJA. Collaborating with prominent interior and furniture designers designer as well as an array of consultants required for the complex nature of the projects.
2010 with a focus on residential interiors, Steven worked with James Mohn Architects, successfully completing several residential projects from apartment reimaginings to complete renovation of upstate homes.
2013 Steven teamed up with Sayigh-Duman Architects to realize and implement a new showroom concept design for a prominent national modern furniture vendor. As lead designer and project manager, Steven completed the Soho flagship store in 2014 and supervised the rollout of several stores nationally, including at 57th st in NYC.
Steven took the leap and founded archi*productions to pursue a more personable approach to the renovation project. Dedicated with each project on working closely with a trusted team to solve complex design briefs to synthesize a design that can be translated effectively within the existing parameters into a robust and excellently constructed and finished product.
Collaboration with suburb professionals and craftspersons over the course of the dozens of projects completed together has resulted in a close team of structural and mechanical engineers, general contractors, and millworkers that has the experience and innovation, and confidence required to take on any project of any size.
